Race Volunteer Sign-Up for Oak Bay 'KOOL' Half Marathon

Pre-Race Day
Package Pick Up:
Helping participants get their numbers on the days prior to the race.
- 10:00am-1:00pm on Friday May 23
- 1:00-3:00pm on Friday May 23
- 3:00-6:00pm on Friday May 23
- 10:00am-1:00pm on Saturday May 24
- 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday May 24
- 3:00-6:00pm on Saturday May 24
On Race Day MAY 25
Road Marshals:
Occupying an intersection along the race route and informing drivers about the race and ensuring that drivers are cautious in crossing the route.

Water Stations:
Preparing water and Gatorade and handing it to the participants.

Exchange Zones:
Controlling the exchange zone and ensuring that relayers enter the relay exit and half marathoners do not!

Start and Finish Line:
Helping the timing crew, and set up and take down of the finish line.
- 8:30-11:00am
Refreshment Tables:
Preparing some of the refreshments and keeping the tables stocked as the runners come through.
- 7:30am-12:00 noon
Bag Check:
Organizing the participants' things for storage during the race.
