  • TC10K
  • Oak Bay KOOL Half Marathon

Let us try to help you accomplish your running goals.

When does the next one start??

The first session starts on January 9th, 2008 at 6:30pm. Last minute registration is from 5:45pm to 6:20pm. Clinic registration form (PDF) Get Acrobat Reader

Your registration includes Wednesday night workouts at 6:30pm, which are a great addition for developing your running skills. We also accommodate a Sunday morning long run at 9:00am. At this clinic we will be moving the Sunday run locations around. Locations will be posted on this website.

What is a Wednesday Night workout for?

The biggest mistake runners make is that they don't develop the proper running systems. At Peninsula Runners we take you back to the basics and teach you how to run properly and more effectively—which makes you a better runner.

How far should I be able to run before joining the 10km or half-marathon program??

You should be able to comfortably run 30 min. to 1 hour before the start of the Half Marathon "or more" clinic. If you're just starting running and find running consistently for 1/2 hour difficult, then let us suggest joining the 10km program. For those looking for a Half Marathon we are proud to present our baby the Oak Bay KOOL Half Marathon.

Why join a training program??

There are many reasons for starting an exercise program. Some join to relieve stress or lose weight, and others just want to enjoy the outdoors. Our program can develop runners who have found running to be boring and stale. At Peninsula Runners we work hard to provide a safe, informative, fun, motivating and rewarding clinic atmosphere. There is nothing more rewarding than developing a runner from start to finish.

How long is the program??

The program will start on January 9th and run until the competition of the Oak Bay KOOL Half Marathon. If your goal is to run the TC10K in April, let us suggest getting a team for the Oak Bay Asics Ekiden Relay. It's a team event that has participants running different distances in stages, over the same course as the Half Marathoners.

How much will it cost and where do we run from??

The cost of the program is $99.99 + tax. For your membership you will receive…
