Let us try to help you accomplish your running goals.

When does the next one start??

The first session starts on January 9th, 2008 at 6:30pm. Last minute registration is from 5:45pm to 6:20pm. Clinic registration form (PDF) Get Acrobat Reader

Your registration includes Wednesday night workouts at 6:30pm, which are a great addition for developing your running skills. We also accommodate a Sunday morning long run which meets at various locations around town. Locations will be posted on this website.

What is a Wednesday Night workout for?

The biggest mistake runners make is that they don't develop the proper running systems. At Peninsula Runners we take you back to the basics and teach you how to run properly and more effectively—which makes you a better runner. The Marathon can be a gruelling event and you have to be properly prepared. We will break the clinic into different phases and develop all aspects of your running.

How far should I be able to run before joining the marathon program??

You should be able to comfortably run 2 hours before the start of the Marathon clinic. If you're having difficulty with 2 hours prior to the clinic we would suggest the Half-Marathon Clinic this time and the Marathon clinic next time. Many clinic members don't realize that the marathon is a very time consuming event and requires longer than the allocated 3-4 month training plan. If you have questions about what to do beforehand please let us know and we will give you a pre-plan.

Why join a training program??

There are many reasons for starting an exercise program. Some join to relieve stress or lose weight, and others just want to enjoy the outdoors. Our program can develop runners who have found running to be boring and stale. At Peninsula Runners we work hard to provide a safe, informative, fun, motivating and rewarding clinic atmosphere. There is nothing more rewarding than developing a runner from start to finish.

How long is the program??

The program will start on January 9th and run until the competition of the Boston Marathon or BMO Bank of Montreal Vancouver Marathon. In the case of Boston, participants must pre-qualify for the event—joining our clinic does not qualify you for Boston.

How much will it cost and where do we run from??

The cost of the program is $169.99 + tax. For your membership you will receive…
